Prince Harry Scrambles to Revise Explosive Memoir Following Queen’s Death
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, is reportedly making last-minute changes to his £17m memoir following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The moves come amidst fears that certain sections of the book may be deemed insensitive, especially since his father, Prince Charles, has taken the throne.
Harry has already received half of his £35m deal for his four-book memoirs.
According to sources, the publishers paid $20m upfront for the book, knowing that it would generate huge sales and exposure worldwide.
However, the first draft they received was disappointing, as it focused too much on mental health issues and was deemed too emotional.
After several revisions, the final draft was signed off, and the book is expected to be released by the end of this year.

However, Harry is now throwing a spanner in the works as he desperately wants to refine the book in light of the Queen's death and his father's new role.
He wants certain sections changed, although it's not a total rewrite.
Sadly, it may be too late for any significant alterations.
Meanwhile, Harry's wife, Meghan, was at the center of fresh controversy over another new royal book.
In “The Hidden Power Behind the Crown,” staff members reportedly called Meghan a narcissistic sociopath, and aides referred to themselves as the “Sussex Survivors Club.”
The book also claimed that Meghan wanted to be rejected by the institution and moaned about not being paid for royal engagements during a tour of Australia in 2018.
Bullying allegations against the Duchess of Sussex ahead of Megxit in 2020 were also made.
Meghan has denied the claims.
Another new book, “The New Royals,” claimed that the Queen was surprised that Meghan wore white when marrying Harry in 2018.
A family source said that perhaps it's a generational thing, but the Queen believes that if you've been married before, you wear off-white on your wedding day, which is what the Duchess of Cornwall did.
Harry and Meghan were in the UK for non-royal charity events when the Queen passed away earlier this month.
There were already fears across the royal family that anything they shared with Harry over the past year may appear in his memoir.
However, they offered a series of olive branches to the couple during the royal mourning period.
William asked his brother Harry and Meghan to join him and wife Kate to see the flowers and well-wishers at Windsor Castle.
Charles allowed Harry to wear his blues and royals uniform for a vigil at the Lying In State in Westminster.
Harry also walked beside William behind the coffin during family processions.
After returning to California, Harry now wants parts changed in his book, which has already been delayed.
It's not clear what sections he wants to revise, but it's believed that he's concerned about how certain passages may be perceived after the Queen's death and his father's new role.
The Duke has launched a series of verbal assaults on his family in recent years, which has caused a rift between him and the rest of the royal family.
His memoir is expected to reveal more about his life as a royal and his decision to step back from his duties.
Despite the controversy surrounding the book, it's still expected to be a bestseller when it's released later this year.
