Prince Harry’s Grey Suit Obsession: A Sign of Loneliness?

Prince Harry has been seen wearing grey suits more than ever before since he started dating Meghan Markle.

In 2018 and 2019, some noticed that Harry was starting to wear grey a lot.

In fact, he donned a grey suit at least nine times after he and Meghan tied the knot.

Harry wore the same dove grey suit for Archie's public debut for his sit-down with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.

Some have been wondering if there's a reason why the Prince has been wearing so much grey over the last few years.

According to royal commentator and editor Richard Eden, it might be because of something Meghan told him.

“Harry has been stuck to his grey suit ever since he met Meghan.

I think she suggested, ‘You look good in grey' and he's always worn it,” Eden said.

While it may seem like a harmless fashion choice, recent reports suggest that Harry's grey suit obsession could be a sign of something deeper.

Last month, Us Weekly reported that Prince Harry feels trapped by his wife Meghan Markle.

After moving from the UK to Los Angeles, it's likely Harry and Markle aren't as close as they once were to some old friends.

The outlet insists Harry is growing weary of his lonely domestic life.

“Harry lives a pretty solitary life these days,” an insider tells the tabloid.

Accordingly, Harry spends his downtime riding his bike around Montecito or hiking.

Harry says he loves being able to move around unrecognized, the tipster dishes, but some of his old friends find it hard to believe.

“It's like he's in hiding.

It's very out of character for him.”

Moreover, the magazine recalls that Harry was the life of the party back in England.

“He was very social,” another source adds.

“He loves doing normal things like hanging out with friends at the local pub.”

But now, he and Markle rarely leave the house.

The outlet notes that Harry has struggled to make friends in the US.

An alleged neighbor of the couple says Harry goes through bouts of loneliness, and also calls he and Markle an immensely private couple.

According to the magazine, Harry was much happier during his days as a working royal before he met Markle.

And, after giving a status update on Harry's shaky relationship with his royal relatives, the magazine claims Markle has too much control over Harry.

“It's one thing to be madly in love, but the feelings among the Cambridges and Harry's dad, Prince Charles, is that he's turned into Meghan's personal puppet,” the snitch explains.

“It's like he can't see beyond it anymore.”

The source remarks that Harry and Markle's tumultuous relationship is bound to give.

“The honeymoon period doesn't last forever,” the insider jabs.

However, back in July, Prince Harry reportedly snubbed Meghan Markle's advice in favor of Diana during the statue unveiling.

Royal commentator Richard Eden has claimed Harry ditched his grey suit, which he has constantly worn since meeting Meghan Markle, to wear navy in support of his family.

Speaking to Palace Confidential on Mail Plus, Mr. Eden said, “One thing that no one's really picked up on is the level of coordination between the brothers.

You might have noticed they were both wearing navy suits and Harry has been stuck to his grey suit ever since he met Meghan.

I think she suggested, ‘You look good in grey' and he's always worn it but on this occasion he wore navy.

That was Diana's favorite suit for a man, it was navy.

If you look at Prince Charles at her funeral, he didn't wear black, he wore a navy suit and that's because Diana liked him best in navy.

There was definitely significance in that I think.”

While it's unclear whether Harry's grey suit obsession is a sign of loneliness or simply a fashion preference, it's clear that the Prince's life has changed dramatically since meeting Meghan Markle.
