Prince William Launches New Celebrity Project with Earthshot Prize
Prince William is following in the footsteps of his brother, Prince Harry, by launching a new celebrity project.
The Earthshot Prize is a competition that rewards people who come up with innovative ideas to solve the biggest environmental issues.
According to Royal Watchers, Prince William may face accusations of emulating the ex-royals in his new venture.
On Sunday, the five winners of the Earthshot Prize will be announced by a line-up of presenters including the Duchess of Cambridge, Emma Thompson, Emma Watson, David Oyelowo, and Mo Salah.
Each winner will be awarded £1 million in prize funding to help support and scale their innovations, with the potential to repair our planet.
During the Royally US podcast, hosts Molly Malshine and Christina Garibaldi discussed William's upcoming event.

Ms Malshine said, “It's really cool, I think there will be a little bit of mumbling that it's very celiby, and people are going to be saying that's very Harry and Meghan of them.
I think it does help to have all of these very loud voices talking about the very important issue.”
Ms Garibaldi added, “I agree, sometimes you need that celebrity power to take it to the next level.
He wants people to be very involved in climate control and saving the environment and this is the way to do so.
I think it's really cool, he's finally going to crown his Earthshot Prize winner, we've been talking about these 15 finalists for quite some time.
We'll have a winner, some awards to see, and good music to listen to as well.”
Sir David Attenborough will also speak at the ceremony about the importance of the Earthshot Prize and his optimism in our ability to rise to the greatest environmental challenges of our time.
The awards come in the same week that the heir apparent to the throne, Prince Charles, has been very vocal about his worries for the environment.
In an interview with the BBC, the Prince urged world leaders to do more than just talk at the COP26 summit later this month.
He also talked about his own efforts to help the climate, including ditching dairy and meat for one day a week and having his 51-year-old Aston Martin converted to run on some surplus English white wine and whey from the cheese process.
The Prince will attend the COP26 climate change summit with the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke, and Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen.
Biographer Andrew Morton told Newsweek that Prince Harry and Prince William will repair their damaged relationship due to the shared experience of Princess Diana's death.
The royal brothers have met twice since Harry and Meghan Markle's Oprah Winfrey interview in March, including to unveil a statue of their mother in July.
But there are still no clear signs their relationship is back on track after the CBS tell-all left Prince William denying allegations the royals were a racist family.
Biographer Andrew Morton wrote what many consider to be the definitive account of Princess Diana's life in 1992 and more recently a biography of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, a Hollywood princess, due to be re-released later this October with new chapters.
He told, “They are brothers, they are united in life and share common experiences that no one else can understand or appreciate.
At some point when they are more settled and established I think they'll get back together again because Harry is no longer a threat, Meghan is no longer a threat, the British royal family is rapidly receding in the rearview mirror of their lives.”
Harry and Meghan's interview was scathing of palisades, accused of leaking stories about Meghan and telling her she could not go to a mental hospital because it would make the institution look bad.
The Duke of Sussex accused Charles of cutting him off financially following his royal exit and of refusing to take his calls while he was negotiating his way out of royal duties.
Meghan also said Kate Middleton made her cry during an argument at a bridesmaids dress fitting and apologized afterward with flowers.
However, when asked by Oprah about Prince William, Harry had few negative words to say about his brother.
Harry told Oprah, “You know, as I've said before, I love William to bits.
He's my brother.
We've been through hell together.
I mean, we have a shared experience.
But we're on different paths, experience.”
In conclusion, Prince William is launching a new celebrity project with the Earthshot Prize, which rewards people who come up with innovative ideas to solve environmental issues.
The awards ceremony will be attended by Sir David Attenborough and will take place this Sunday.
