Princess Beatrice Announces Pregnancy on Prince Harry and Meghan’s Third Wedding Anniversary

The Royal Family has confirmed that , 32, is expecting her first child with husband Eduardo Mapelli-Mozzi.

The announcement was made on Wednesday through the Royal Household's official Twitter account.

Interestingly, this news came on the same day that and are celebrating their third wedding anniversary.

Some people are interpreting the timing of the announcement as a subtle dig at the Sussexes.

This is because the couple had announced their pregnancy during 's wedding day back in October 2018.

Many felt that the Sussexes were trying to steal Eugenie's thunder with their own announcement.

Fans were quick to point out the coincidence on social media.

Some even went as far as claiming that the timing was no accident.

One person wrote, “I don't think it's accidentally that announced her pregnancy on and Meghan's third anniversary,” followed by a side eyes emoji.

Another said, “I have to wonder why did the palace decide to announce Beatrice's baby news today?

On the Prince and Princess Henry of Wales anniversary, how petty.

Congrats though Beatrice.”

However, one Royal Watcher played down the coincidence.

They pointed out that Harry and Meghan's third wedding anniversary was not a significant milestone.

They also reminded everyone that the Sussexes had announced their pregnancy during 's wedding day.

The Royal Family's tweet with the news read, “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Eduardo Mapelli-Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.

The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

This will be the tenth in line to the throne and the Queen's twelfth great-grandchild.

As Princess Beatrice is not a working member of the monarchy, her child is unlikely to take a royal title.

Princess Beatrice and Eduardo Mapelli-Mozzi tied the knot in a private ceremony last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The couple had originally planned to have a grand wedding in May 2020, but they had to cancel it because of the lockdown.

The couple's announcement has been met with warm congratulations from the public and the media.

Fans are excited to see another addition to the Royal Family, especially since this news comes after a tumultuous year for the monarchy.
