Princess Charlotte’s Resemblance to Princess Diana Sparks Royal Fans’ Interest

Royal fans are buzzing about the striking resemblance between Princess Charlotte and her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

The three-year-old princess attended Prince Louis' christening last week, and fans quickly pointed out that she looks just like her grandmother did at a similar age.

Instagram account Love Princess Diana shared a photo of Lady Di as a child, which appeared in her passport.

Alongside a photograph of Charlotte, the account holder captioned it, “Princess Charlotte has Diana's eyes.”

The post quickly amassed over 7,000 likes as followers commented on how they had never noticed the resemblance.

While some fans pointed out that it was their mouths that were identical in the two photos rather than their eyes, others agreed that Charlotte is Diana's mini-me.

One fan even claimed that they had been saying for a while that Charlotte is going to look a lot more like Diana than anyone thinks.

It's not the first time that Charlotte's resemblance to other members of the royal family has been noted.

During the release of the Cambridge's Christmas card in December last year, fans commented on how much young Charlotte looks like the Queen.

Pictures of Charlotte taken at her nursery in January also show her looking like her great-great-grandmother, the late Queen Mother, as well as her own mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, at the same age.

Charlotte was pictured staring fondly at her baby brother in a family portrait after Prince Louis was christened in the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace last week.

The intimate ceremony was attended by the Duke and Duchess' immediate family and close friends, and was Prince Louis' first official appearance since Kate showed him to the world on the steps of the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London on April 23.

The Royal event was also the first time the Cambridges were seen together in public as a family of five.

Fans were quick to point out how adorable the family looked, and how much Charlotte and her older brother, Prince George, have grown.

As for Charlotte's resemblance to Diana, it's clear that fans are fascinated by the similarities between the two.
