“Royal Family Celebrates Prince William’s 40th Birthday with Heartfelt Tributes”

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, celebrated his 40th birthday on June 21st, and the Royal Family took to social media to share heartfelt tributes.

The Queen's official social media accounts shared up to nine detailed posts with a series of photos, taking fans on a trip down memory lane.

The first post read, “Happy Birthday to the Duke of Cambridge.

As the second in line to the throne turns 40, learn more about His Royal Highness.”

The thread then transported fans back to William's childhood, sharing his birth announcement alongside a touching photo of a beaming Prince Charles and Princess Diana introducing their son to the world.

The caption revealed William's exact time of birth and shared that he is the eldest son of the Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales.

The thread also included several heartfelt photos of William and the Queen over the years, showcasing their incredible bond.

From Her Majesty standing proudly alongside him as he graduated from the University of St Andrews, where William and Catherine's love story began, to a photo of the monarch and her grandson during his time as a search and rescue pilot.

Fans were quick to express their excitement at the tribute, with one person joyfully writing, “Love this thread so much.

Prince Charles also took to social media to mark the occasion, sharing five very special snapshots capturing his bond with Prince William over the decades.

The first image in the carousel shows Prince Charles as a new father, holding newborn Prince William in a bundle of blankets outside of St Mary's Hospital, Lindow Wing in 1982.

The touching look back also features memories of William and Charles skiing in Switzerland together in 1994, as well as a snap taken after Prince Charles became a grandfather, showing Prince George in William's arms on the Buckingham Palace balcony in 2015.

In the fifth and final image in the post, William and Charles can be seen beaming at the camera together, with William's arms wrapped around his dad.

While many royal fans rushed to the comments section to wish Prince William a happy birthday and react to the throwback photos, some couldn't help but notice the absence of William's late mother, Princess Diana, within the birthday tribute.

One disappointed follower penned, “It would have been nice to see a picture of Princess Diana with Prince William, acknowledging the big part she played in his life.

It would have meant a lot.”

Another agreed, saying, “What a pity though that his mother is not in any of the photos.”
