Oprah Winfrey Cuts Ties with Meghan Markle After Alleged Lies
Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle have reportedly ended their friendship following allegations that the Duchess of Sussex wasn't entirely truthful during her interview with Winfrey.
According to Woman's Day, Winfrey realized soon after she interviewed Prince Harry and Markle that the couple wasn't being entirely honest about their accounts.
Earlier this year, Markle claimed that Kate Middleton made her cry, and she and Prince Harry accused the Royal Family of not listening to their complaints and mental health struggles.
Markle also alleged that she thought of committing suicide because of how the British press targeted her.
Now, a source claims that Winfrey couldn't be more disappointed with Prince Harry and Markle.
The longtime host is even more upset with the couple because they tarnished her reputation.

“As soon as those headlines started coming out, and Oprah learned that they'd either exaggerate or downright lied to her, she was furious,” the insider said.
This put a severe dent on Oprah's reputation as one of America's most skilled interviewers, and even now, eight months later, it hasn't quite recovered.
The insider also claimed that Prince Harry and Markle's former supporters have started to realize that the couple doesn't practice what they are preaching.
As such, they have started to turn on the Sussexes.
Fans of Winfrey couldn't be more thrilled that she finally realized that Prince Harry and Markle shouldn't be her friends, and she has started to distance herself from the couple.
According to the source, Winfrey's revelation during a recent interview that she only has a handful of friends was a telling sign that she didn't consider the Sussexes as her pals.
“That was a rather pointed comment to make because, until that point, everyone in Oprah's circle assumed she was extremely close with Meghan.
But it seems that's changed,” the source said.
In the UK, thousands of people have vowed to boycott Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey, which went viral.
Winfrey revealed she had sent the couple a text before the interview, and from her understanding, they were going to share the truth.
Speaking about the interview on Nancy O'Dell's channel on Talkshop Live, Oprah explained, “I had no idea that it would have the reverberating impact it has had and continues to have.
I did a lot of preparation for that.”
The author also admitted she was surprised that Harry and Meghan were open during the interview, particularly around the former Suits actress' comment that royal family members had conversations with Harry about how dark Archie's skin might be when he's born.
Oprah said, “I'm like, what?
You're going there?
You're going all the way there?”
about her thoughts at the time.
She understood they were going to share their truth, adding, “Whenever I'm doing interviews with anybody for anything that is significant, I have a conversation with them before.
I didn't see Harry and Meghan before but I did text them and say intention is very important to me, tell me what your intention is, so that we can be aligned in our goal.
And our shared intention was the truth.
They wanted to be able to tell their story and tell it in such a way that allowed them to be as truthful as possible.”
She continued, “The reason why it was such a powerful interview, first of all, I know how to ask questions, and you, Nancy, know how to ask questions, we all know how to do our jobs, but what makes it powerful is when you have someone else who is willing to be as open, as vulnerable, as truthful, as they were.
So, I don't give myself credit for that, I give myself credit for asking the questions, but the reason the interview was what it was, was because they.”
