Princess Charlotte to Inherit Princess Diana’s Spencer Tiara
Princess Charlotte, the only daughter of Prince William II and Duchess Kate Middleton, is set to inherit a treasured heirloom from her late grandmother, Princess Diana.
According to palace insiders, Charlotte will have the pick of the palace jewels once she is old enough, and the Spencer tiara is one of the two pieces earmarked for her.
The tiara was famously worn by Lady Diana on her wedding day to Prince Charles in 1981 and has been in the Spencer family for almost a century.
Currently in the possession of Princess Diana's younger brother, Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, the tiara will eventually be passed down to Charlotte once her father ascends the throne.
Despite having daughters of his own, Charles has agreed that the iconic piece belongs to his first niece and William has asked if the tiara can be given to Charlotte someday.
Although Prince Harry has a daughter named Lilibet Diana with his wife Meghan Markle, she is unlikely to receive the tiara as she was not the firstborn daughter of the future king.

An insider revealed that Charlotte is aware of the discussions and is said to be thrilled about inheriting the treasure.
She is already aware of her princess status and has plastic tiaras and gowns to play dress-up in.
The Spencer tiara was partly made out of a wedding gift given in 1919 from Lady Sarah Spencer to Lady Cynthia Hamilton, Diana's grandmother, for her marriage to Viscount Althorp.
Other jewels belonging to the Spencer family were also used.
Princess Diana opted to use the family heirloom rather than borrow one of the Queen's tiaras for her wedding ceremony, as Meghan Markle did in 2018.
In addition to the Spencer tiara, another piece of jewelry heading Charlotte's way is the Vladimir tiara, which was refurbished in the early 1900s with Cambridge emeralds from the Queen's grandmother, Queen Mary.
The Queen and Prince Charles have agreed that this tiara belongs with the next Cambridge princess.
Aside from her royal inheritance, researchers claim that Princess Charlotte could become the richest member of the royal family when she grows up.
Due to the so-called “Kate Middleton effect,” her fashion choices could have a significant impact on fashion trends and increase her worth.
It has been compared to Princess Diana's influence on 1990s fashion.
While Prince George is thought to amass just under £2.2 billion and little Prince Louis could be worth £721 million, Princess Charlotte's potential fortune could reach as high as £3.6 billion, according to research from Electric Ride on Cars.
The adorable six-year-old is known for her mischievous behavior and cheeky smile, and it appears that she has a bright future ahead of her.
