Prince Harry Hosts Summer Gala Dinner for Charity

has returned from his honeymoon with and is already back to work.

The royal hosted a summer gala dinner at Kensington Palace last night in aid of a charity that provides spaces for 8 to 19-year-olds where they can enjoy fun and active leisure activities, especially in deprived communities.

The event was also attended by comedian David Walliams, who made guests laugh as he introduced the prince as a newly married man.

Although his new wife was not in attendance, Harry looked dapper in a tuxedo and was in great spirits as he laughed and joked with guests.

He even took to the stage to make a speech.

Guests were later treated to a set by 80s singer Rick Astley.

The event was a great success and raised funds for a good cause.

Details of Harry and Meghan's honeymoon still remain a closely guarded secret.

However, rumours suggest that they enjoyed a romantic stay in Canada before jetting off to Ireland to finish off their honeymoon.

Earlier this week, they were rumoured to be staying at the 13th Century Ashford Castle in Kong, County Mayo, where rooms cost between £600 and £4,000 a night.

The rumour mill went into overdrive after a local woman tweeted that she couldn't get into the castle because the royals were within.

The sprawling five-star estate, once named the world's best hotel, is a firm favourite with celebrities including Pierce Brosnan and was the wedding venue of golfer Rory McIlroy when he tied the knot with Erika Stoll in April 2017.

The dining room and bar were even named after Harry's great-great-grandfather King George V, one of Ashford's famous guests over the years.

Meghan's first post-honeymoon appearance will take place tomorrow when she joins the royals for her first Trooping the Colour, held in honour of the Queen's birthday.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Meghan would be conducting her first joint engagements with the Queen in Cheshire next week.

This is an exciting time for the newlyweds as they continue to make public appearances and carry out their royal duties.

The gala dinner was a great opportunity for Harry to show his support for a worthy cause and to get back into the swing of things after his honeymoon.
