Meghan Markle Jealous of Prince William’s Apple Music Projects as Sussexes Struggle with Spotify

and 's $33 million deal with Spotify has been under scrutiny as the couple has only released one podcast thus far.

In contrast, has partnered with Apple Music and already has plenty of projects in store for the music platform.

According to a source, Markle was surprised and jealous when she found out about William's partnership with Apple Music, as it is in direct competition with Spotify.

's latest appearance on Apple Fitness plus the time to walk has reportedly landed and in trouble with Spotify.

While William's candid conversations have gained praise and traction, things with the Sussexes are reportedly not going so well as they are under pressure from Spotify to finish their own podcast.

The streaming company is reportedly getting antsy, and the source claims that “you can't blame them for looking for a return on their investment.”

The fact that Prince William effortlessly puts out something and donates a huge sum to mental health charities at the same time can't be a good look for Meghan and Harry, and the source believes that Meghan is likely seething that it's made them look bad.

During a recent interview, the Duke of Cambridge also shared some of the songs that he likes listening to, including Tina Turner's song, The Best, which he used to listen to with Prince Harry in the car.

The source claimed that it's obvious that Prince William misses Prince Harry and all the good times that they shared while growing up.

The insider also thinks that this was the future king's way of extending an olive branch to his younger brother.

However, the insider claimed that Markle doesn't seem thrilled that Prince William extended an olive branch to Prince Harry, as he did it to promote his own partnership with Apple Music.

Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry's £18 million Spotify podcast deal was also under scrutiny, as their expected 2021 Archul series remained missing in action with the streaming giant refusing to say when it will air.

The royal couple, who inked the lucrative contract last year, have been completely silent on the platform since December 15.

They have only produced 35 minutes of content for their Archul audio channel, which was put together with Spotify's Gimlet Studios.

Neither they nor Spotify responded to questions about the future of the oral endeavor.

But, unlike the rest of its shows, Archul audio is notable by its absence on Gimlet's website.

And Spotify's press release of December last year now looks to be completely off the mark.

The press release had stated that Archul audio will leverage Spotify's global reach, with 144 million premium subscribers and 320 million monthly active users, to spotlight powerful and diverse voices and perspectives.

The Duke and Duchess were set to produce and host podcasts that build community through shared experiences and values.

The first complete series from Archul audio and Spotify was expected to be available to stream for free on Spotify next year.

Despite the criticism, Meghan and Harry's Spotify podcast has received rave reviews from some royal fans.

One fan said, “Well, we haven't seen any Netflix content either, for which I am profoundly grateful.”

Another added, “I don't believe for one minute that the heads at Spotify expected any kind of podcast from these two.

The deal was, we'll give you a couple of million dollars, you produce one vanity project, and we publicize it on the strength of your titles.
