Meghan Markle’s Visibility at Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral Sparks Controversy

Many viewers who tuned in to watch the funeral of II on Monday noticed that was obstructed from view.

As the ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey, several individuals took to Twitter to question whether the mother of two had been intentionally positioned behind a candle.

Meghan was seated behind , the Queen Consort, and next to her husband, .

However, for most of the state funeral service, only her black hat was visible to those watching on television at home.

While there is no suggestion that the candle was placed there deliberately to obscure Meghan's face, people still questioned it.

Social media users were quick to jump on the joke, with one user writing, “On the sad occasion of Her Majesty's funeral, I'm comforted in the knowledge Meghan's head is obscured by a candle.”

Another user shared, “I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist, but that candle is totally blocking the view of Meghan.”

A comment read, “Unfortunately, the television camera's view of hashtag Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is obscured by a large candle.”

Some even argued that the move was done on purpose.

Despite being fifth in line to the throne behind and his three children, was seated in the second row behind other senior royals, including Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne.

This seating arrangement sparked confusion and criticism, with one Twitter user questioning, “How was Prince Harry in the second row, but Zara and her fellow in the first?

Laughing my *ss off, what?”

Others speculated whether there was a deliberate attempt to not film Meghan during the funeral.

While there are a couple of shots of her in the car outside, it seems like she wasn't really captured much on film or with pictures.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but it's almost as if she was strategically placed, candle or pillar, blocking her from several angles, so that she wouldn't get a lot of screen time.

Meanwhile, palace insiders revealed that Meghan and Harry are expected to leave as soon as possible.

The couple has decided they're not hanging around after 's funeral on Monday and want to return to life in California as soon as possible.

Royal commentator Neil Sean claimed that the former royal may hope to patch up her relationship with the new monarch after a reportedly turbulent couple of years.

Allegedly, Meghan would like to have a one-to-one audience with King Charles III before they return back to California.

This request was made in a formal letter.

According to this letter, she feels it would be an opportunity to clear the air, sort of rights from wrongs, and explain some of the rationale behind what they've been doing over the last two years.

Although Neil suggested that Meghan's alleged invitation to King Charles may go some way to fixing things, the royal commentator admitted that he was unsure whether the conversation would take place.
