According to royal expert Christopher Anderson, may have pressured her husband, , to intervene and end the couple's romance.

Anderson claimed that Camilla saw Kate as unworthy of joining the royal family due to her working-class background and believed that William should choose a more suitable partner.

Kate, the first woman from a working-class background to join the royal family, had been in a relationship with William for six years before their breakup.

The couple frequently spent time apart, with William stationed with the household cavalry in Dorset, and Kate residing in London.

While William insisted that they were trying to find their own way at the time, Anderson suggested that Camilla's influence could have contributed to the separation.

Camilla's aristocratic background and her desire to become a member of the royal circle serving as the future king's mistress before becoming the queen may have influenced her opinion of Kate.

She reportedly whispered in Charles' ear, urging him to push William to make a choice.

Although Charles advised William not to rush into anything, it took him three years to propose to Kate.

Various analysts and professionals have put forward alternative theories as to why the couple broke up.

Biographer Katie Nicole claimed that William began to experience claustrophobic feelings as graduation day drew near.

He traveled to Greece on a boys-only sailing expedition, which he had planned with his friend, Guy Pelly.

The biographer also wrote that Kate's turbulent relationship with Guy may have contributed to the breakup.

This earned her praise from royal critics, who saw her as a no-brainer for the position of a future queen.

She remained calm and composed throughout the emotional roller coaster, and the royal family knew she was a decent girl.

William and Kate got back together ten weeks after their breakup, and the couple got engaged in 2010 while on a trip to Kenya.

Kate admitted that she wasn't thrilled with the breakup at the time but realized it was for the best and made her a stronger person.
