Princess Anne Stands Firm Against Camilla’s Dream of Becoming Queen
Tensions are reportedly rising between Princess Anne and Camilla Parker Bowles over the latter's potential ascension to the throne.
According to a recent report from New Idea, Prince Charles plans to override royal protocol and allow Bowles to be known as Queen Consort instead of Princess Consort.
However, this decision isn't sitting well with Anne.
An insider explained that while the official line has always been that Camilla will be known as Princess Consort, Charles would prefer her to have the title of Queen Consort, which is the correct title for the wife of a king.
But Anne has made it clear that Camilla will never be a true queen in the eyes of British subjects.
Anne wields a lot of power and respect within the royal family, and it's likely that the Wessexes and even the Cambridges will back her on this issue.

Charles and Camilla will face a lot of pushback if they try to change Camilla's title.
The feud between Bowles and Anne reportedly goes back decades when Anne had an on-again-off-again relationship with Bowles' ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles.
In the past, Camilla was afraid of Anne's haughty demeanor, but their relationship has since warmed up.
While it would cause a major stir if Charles were to make Camilla Queen Consort, it's not going to happen.
Royal titles are dictated by law, and unless Charles and Bowles want to take on Parliament, they will have to settle for the title of Princess Consort.
Additionally, there's no evidence that either Charles or Bowles has any issue with the current wording.
Furthermore, Bowles even kept her Duchess of Cornwall title when marrying Charles instead of taking the traditional Princess of Wales title out of respect for Princess Diana.
This shows that the couple isn't trying to make a power grab over titles.
There's also no substantial evidence to suggest that Anne was ever a romantic competition to Bowles.
While there were rumors that Anne had a brief relationship with Andrew Parker Bowles, no party ever confirmed it.
Therefore, it would be misleading to treat this detail as fact.
In June 2021, Clarence House released a statement saying that the intention is for Bowles to be known as Princess Consort when Charles becomes king.
This decision supposedly pleased Princess Anne, who does not wish to see her mother the Queen be replaced by a hypothetical Queen Camilla.
Royal expert Penny Junor told New Idea that the official line has always been that Camilla will be known as Princess Consort.
While Charles may want her to have the title of Queen Consort, it's unlikely to happen.
It's worth noting that New Idea has a history of being unreliable when it comes to reporting on the British royal family.
The magazine has made false claims about Princess Beatrice, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton in the past.
In conclusion, tensions may be rising between Princess Anne and Camilla over the latter's potential ascension to the throne.
However, it's unlikely that Camilla will ever become Queen Consort, and the feud between the two women is likely exaggerated by tabloid rumors.
