Prince William Visits Poland to Show Support for British and Polish Troops and Ukraine

has embarked on a two-day visit to Poland to show his support for the British and Polish troops who are working together in close partnership to support Ukraine and its people.

During his visit, the Prince expressed his gratitude to the soldiers for their role in defending freedom and thanked the Polish people for supporting their Ukrainian neighbors.

The Prince visited Ukraine's refugees and accommodation centers in Warsaw, where he witnessed firsthand the vital support that communities across Poland are providing for those fleeing the war.

He also visited military bases in Rzezow, a town located in the southeast of the country, near the Ukrainian border, where the Royal Artillery and other British units are working with Western allies to train Ukrainians.

During his visit to the military base, the Prince expressed his appreciation for those involved in relief efforts and thanked the British troops for their service, telling them that everyone back home thoroughly supports them.

The visit was an emotional moment for one British Army medic, Lance Corporal Molly Pettifer, who met the Prince and told him about her work training troops in first aid.

Pettifer revealed that her grandmother's friend delivered William at birth, making the encounter all the more special for her.

The Prince's visit to Poland was kept under wraps for security reasons, with only palace officials and a small contingent of the traveling press privy to the arrangements.

He was greeted by Poland's Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Mariusz Błaziczak, who expressed his gratitude for the cooperation between British and Polish troops.

William spent time speaking to Mr. Błaziczak and local dignitaries before meeting several groups of British and Polish troops to hear about their work supporting Ukraine.

At his second engagement, the Prince thanked British troops, based at an air defense base roughly an hour's drive from the Ukrainian border, for defending our freedom.

Dressed casually in a black puffer jacket and trousers, he was shown a military launcher before meeting the troops.

In a statement released to the Polish people, expressed his appreciation for their strong ties and cooperation in supporting the people of Ukraine and their freedom, which he emphasized was also their freedom.

He praised the inspiring humanity of the Polish people and their willingness to open their hearts and homes to refugees.

The Prince also expressed his continued support and gratitude to the Polish people and their profound relationship with the United Kingdom.
