Prince William Shows Fatherly Love to Princess Charlotte During Commonwealth Games
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, has once again impressed the public with his thoughtful and hands-on fatherly love towards his daughter, Princess Charlotte.
On Tuesday, the Duke brought his wife Catherine and daughter Charlotte to the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham to cheer on athletes in swimming, hockey, and gymnastics.
The seven-year-old Princess won over the hearts of royal fans as she made her first royal engagement without the company of her brothers, George, nine, and Louis, four.
Charlotte enjoyed her time at the event and even shook hands with dignitaries while flaunting her shiny wide smile for photographs.
However, in a brief moment during her time in the stands with the Duke and Duchess, the young royal looked distinctly unimpressed as her dad smiled for a selfie with some fellow spectators.
The day started with a visit to Sandwell Aquatic Centre where the Cambridges joined Prince Edward, the Countess of Wessex, and their children to cheer on athletes in a number of swimming heats.

As the day progressed and Princess Charlotte seemed to get restless, the love of her doting father seemed to keep her on her best behavior.
Prince William reassured his little Princess with mushy cuddles and small gestures of affection while playing with her hair and holding her hands.
After a busy morning watching the swimming and visiting a sports program for young athletes, the Cambridges settled in to watch England women win their hockey match to reach the semi-finals.
But the effort of the bumper day of sports appeared to become too much for little Charlotte.
Photographs show the Princess looking a little tired as she sits with her head in her hands.
Luckily Prince William was on hand to comfort his daughter.
The Duke was snapped tenderly moving a lock of his daughter's hair out of her face while he spoke to the youngster.
Another image shows William cradling the back of Charlotte's head in his hand as her mother Catherine joins the conversation.
The heartwarming gestures of Prince William melted the hearts of netizens.
Applauding the adorable moment of fatherhood, a social media user wrote, “William and Charlotte's bond, I love how Catherine and William are always doing something to comfort the kids in these public situations.”
Another user wrote, “As a proud daddy's girl to this day myself, these pictures of Prince William and Princess Charlotte warm my heart and take me back to hot chocolate, cookies and cuddling with daddy for story time.”
Someone else chimed in, “Oh they are so close, it's wonderful to see.”
This is not the first time William has demonstrated his skill at comforting Charlotte in public.
Back in June, the Duke sent royal fans into a frenzy in the moment he comforted his daughter after she appeared to grow tired during the platinum pageant at Buckingham Palace.
The Duke reached over to brush his daughter's hair behind her shoulders and whispered a comforting word in her ear after she grew restless in the royal box.
Princess Charlotte, who attended the event with her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis rubbed her eyes and looked despondent at one point.
The moment proved a hit with fans who praised the Duke of Cambridge for being a thoughtful, hands-on father.
In the clip shared by Royal Watchers on Twitter, Charlotte, whose hair was pulled back into two plaits, was seen with her head down looking sleepy and wiping her eyes.
Her loving father William then stroked her hair as he bent down to speak to her and cheer her up.
She appeared to nod her head afterwards when wiping her nose with her arm, reassured by her father's words.
