Prince William ‘Upset’ And Missing Harry After Oprah Interview

Prince William says he's “upset” and misses his brother after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's dramatic Oprah interview. According to the Sunday Times, he believes his relationship with Prince Harry will “heal in time.”

“Once he got over his anger over how things went down, he was left with his brother's absence,” a Palace source tells the outlet. “They shared everything about their lives – a workplace, a foundation, and nearly regular meetings – and they had a lot of fun doing it. He'll never forget it.”

Prince William is hopeful that their friendship will improve over time.

According to the report, William was the most upset when his brother and Meghan chose to abandon their positions as senior members of the Royal family. Following that, the pair issued a statement declaring their intention to create a charitable organization and also addressed the use of the term “royal.” “While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word ‘Royal' overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘Sussex Royal' or any iteration of the word ‘Royal.'” the document reads.

“For William, that was it,” the insider says. “He feared they'd insulted and disrespected the queen by catching her off guard.” Despite Harry's comments, the source claims that William does not feel “trapped” in the Royal family and that being a part of it has helped him flourish. “[William] has a course laid out for him, and he accepts it wholeheartedly… In terms of responsibility and service, he is very much his grandmother's grandson.”

After the tense interview aired, William and his father, Prince Charles, have gotten closer. The source continues, “Part of William's evolution is that as he has become closer to his father, he sees their parallels.” “They've become closer as a result of their feud with Harry.” Regardless, Harry said during the interview, “I love William to bits.” He's my brother. Together, we've been to hell. Yet we're on separate paths.”
