The 39-year-old shared that she didn't know how to correctly greet Queen Elizabeth the first time she saw her, and that she didn't Google her future husband and the Windsors.
When Meghan talked of her first encounter with the Queen, she had the audience in uproar.
One viewer exclaimed, “Wow! Meghan didn't do some homework on Harry before meeting him? It couldn't be me because I'd have it all memorized.”
Another person stated: “What Meghan is saying is that she did not do any investigation into the Royal Family. Looooool, she must have thought ‘Prince Harry' was just his street name .”
Meghan said she didn't know how to curtsy and didn't have time to learn until meeting the Queen. Instead, she went in and practiced with Prince Harry.
“I learned it very quickly, right in front of the house. We just practiced and then walked in. We just came in from practicing.” “Fergie rushed out, and she said, ‘Are you ready?'” Do you know how to curtsy?' ‘Oh, my god, you guys,' I exclaimed. And so, I practiced really quickly, and we went in, and I met her. And, apparently, I did a very deep curtsy.”
“The one thing I'll add that got me confused was Meghan claiming she didn't do some homework before meeting the Queen,” one Twitter user said.
And Harry was on the verge of making her publicly humiliate herself. Prepare yourself, lady!”
“I love you Meghan but you definitely googled him,” one user remarked.
“She fell in love with Harry and what he wanted to share with her, and that was enough for her,” another spectator lauded.
“Meghan didn't really up at Harry's history before getting to know him? This is how you can tell she was at ease with him right away “another person said.
“I wonder whether it might have made a difference if Meghan had investigated the royals before marrying Harry – would she even have gotten married?” said another.
Meghan Markle lied to Oprah about never wanting to be a Princess – Her previous blog posts reveal
Meghan Markle, who said in an Oprah Winfrey interview that she had never imagined what it would be like to marry a prince, previously blogged about her desire to be a princess.
The Sun on Sunday reported that Markle had fantasized about becoming a princess even before she married British royal Prince Harry in May of 2018, citing blog posts she published seven years earlier.
“Little girls dream of being princesses.” Markle wrote, “I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power,” referring to the “pomp” surrounding Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding three years prior.
“For those of you unfamiliar with the '80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength,” Markle's blog post read.
She went on to say, “We're definitely not talking about Cinderella here.”
“Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate, ” Markle added.
The 39-year-old, on the other hand, disclosed to Oprah Winfrey that she had no knowledge about the British royal family until marrying into it.
Markle stated, “I went into it naively because I didn't grow up learning anything about the royal family.” She admitted that talking about the royals “wasn't something that was part of the discussion at home.”
“But you were definitely aware of the royals,” Winfrey replied.
“Of course,” Markle responded.
Markle, on the other hand, said she never did any analysis or even “looked up (Harry) online” after meeting him.
“So you didn't have a chat with yourself or your peers or dream about what it's like to marry a prince, who is Harry — who you have fallen in love with — and what it would be like to be a member of that family?” Winfrey inquired. You didn't give it much thought, did you?
“No,” Markle replied. We considered what we thought it could be.”
