Prince Harry Struggles with Lack of Purpose in Los Angeles

, the Duke of Sussex, is reportedly feeling lost and without purpose since moving to Los Angeles with his wife and their son .

According to a source close to the couple, Harry has been struggling to keep busy since stepping back as a senior member of the royal family and leaving behind his military appointments.

Living in an $18 million mansion in the U.S., the couple has hired David and Victoria Beckham's former Hollywood advisor to help them navigate their new life.

However, the insider claims that Harry is struggling with the lack of structure in his days, now that he no longer has military engagements to fill his calendar.

While he has been keeping in touch with friends and colleagues in the UK over video calls, the source says that Harry feels rudderless without a sense of purpose.

“This is a very strange time for us all, but I think Harry is missing having a structure to his life right now,” they said.

The insider also revealed that Meghan has lived in the U.S. before and has friends she can rely on, but Harry is finding it difficult to adjust to his new life.

“He doesn't have friends in Los Angeles like Meghan and he doesn't have a job.

So at the moment he's a bit rudderless, but it won't always be like this, and he knows that.”

This news comes after reports surfaced that Harry misses the army and the camaraderie that came with serving.

In a speech marking what would have been the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games, Harry confessed that his life has changed dramatically.

A source told the Daily Telegraph back in April that the royal told friends he is really missing the army as well as his military appointments.

“He misses the camaraderie of being in the forces.

He has been telling friends he still can't believe this has happened.

He can't believe his life has been turned upside down.

He was in a happy place when he was serving in the army, then he met Meghan and since then life has been great.

But I don't think he foresaw things turning out quite as they did,” the source added.

It is clear that is struggling to adapt to his new life in Los Angeles.

While he has his family for support, he misses the structure and sense of purpose that came with his military appointments.
