Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, extended an olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan by inviting them to join them for a walkabout among the crowds outside Windsor Castle.

According to GB News host Dan Wootten, this gesture from William means that the ball is now in the court of the Sussexes.

The four royals spent around 40 minutes outside Windsor Castle looking at the floral tributes to the late monarch, the Ewe.

They also took the time to meet dozens of well-wishers who had gathered outside Windsor's gates.

The Times reported that the show of unity required extended negotiations behind the scenes beforehand, which delayed their arrival for the walkabout by 45 minutes.

Despite the delay, the four royals put on a united front as they mingled with the public.
