Princess Anne Should Take Over Major Royal Role Instead of Prince Harry and Prince Andrew, Says Biographer

Royal biographer Phil Dampier has suggested that Princess Anne should take over a major royal role currently held by Prince Harry and Prince Andrew.

The Councillors of State positions are held by the Duke of York, Prince Charles, and his sons William and Harry, but two out of the four who hold the positions are no longer working royals.

In a tweet to his 14.2k followers, Mr Dampier wrote, “So wrong that Prince Harry and Prince Andrew are Councillors of State.

The law should be changed so that Princess Anne becomes one.”

However, American royal expert Kinsey Schofield believes that Harry's legal challenge against the UK government is a sign of him adopting an American attitude.

“This our way or the highway and this is a situation where Prince Harry, the people that are mentoring him and working with him throughout some of these issues.

They are Americans and they don't understand the proper way to communicate and they don't understand that element of respect,” Schofield said.

Security expert Richard H also spoke about the costs of personal protection officers for royals, estimating that the cost for a Metropolitan Police officer is around £100,000 a year.

“What may appear as a wish on paper is far more in reality, and the costs can certainly be quite huge,” H said.
