Princess Diana’s Sons Unveil Statue to Mark Her 60th Birthday

The private event was held at the Sunken Garden in Kensington Palace, one of Diana's favourite spots, and was attended by a select number of her close family and friends.

The artist behind the sculpture was Ian Rank Broadley, and Pip Morrison, who helped revamp the garden to reflect Diana's tastes, was also present.

While there was no live coverage of the event, photos and footage of the ceremony were released to the public shortly after it finished.

William and Harry were snapped walking side by side as they headed for the sunken garden, and the lack of live coverage allowed those present to enjoy the engagement in private.

However, some Royal fans, experts, and commentators were quick to criticise the lack of coverage on social media.
