Queen Elizabeth II Attends Great-Grandchildren’s Christening Amid Health Concerns

After weeks of concern over II's health due to her sudden hiatus from public life last month, Royal Watchers can now breathe a sigh of relief.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Queen had attended the joint christening of her great-grandchildren, Masters August Brooksbank and Lucas Tyndall.

The Queen was thrilled to join her family for such a special occasion and was grateful that Zara and Eugenie planned a joint event to make things easier for her to attend.

According to a source, Her Majesty is looking forward to getting back to public life soon.

However, she will likely keep it quiet for the rest of the year and enjoy Christmas with her family.

Then, we'll see her back in action ahead of her Platinum Jubilee in June.

The insider added that both granddaughters chose Philip as their baby's middle name, a sweet nod to the respect and love they hold for the Queen and her late husband.

Despite feeling under the weather in the past month, the Queen has been spending hours of downtime with her great-granddaughter, .

Palace insiders say that this has come with an upside for the Queen – she's been able to spend quality time with her great-granddaughter.

With reports that the six-year-old's parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are looking to move to Windsor, insiders say it's allowed them to drop their middle child off for some quality time with Gangon.

Charlotte, who is smart as a whip, keeps the Queen entertained for hours.

The insider said that the Queen hasn't laughed like this since Philip was well, and it's been magical to see.

Her Majesty has a real soft spot for Charlotte, as she reminds her so much of herself as a girl in the looks department.

Charlotte is a lot more gregarious than she ever was as a child, and in terms of personality, Charlotte makes her think of her cheeky younger sister, Margaret.

Charlotte loves her time with the Queen and is always asking her parents when she can go to Gangons.

However, the Queen's bond with her great-grandchildren has been put at risk because of Megxit, according to a royal expert.

The distance between the Queen and , who now resides in California, has left the monarch heartbroken.

The lack of connection, fuelled by the physical distance, between and and their great-grandmother was discussed in Channel 5's new documentary 2021, The Queen's Terrible Year.

Her Majesty last saw in the flesh two years ago in November 2019, according to Tominey, associate editor of the Daily Telegraph.

The Queen has yet to even see Diana in person, even though she is named after the Queen's own childhood nickname.

Ms Tominey discussed the February 2021 announcement that Meghan and Harry were expecting a second child.

She said, “I'm sure the Queen was absolutely delighted to hear the news that the Sussexes were expecting a second child.

But it is difficult for the Queen.

She has not been able to see Archie.

I think the last time she was able to see Archie in the flesh was November 2019.

The only way the Queen will be able to see these children is if they come over to the UK.

Maybe she will see them next year when she marks her platinum jubilee.

We have to wait and see.”

The documentary examines the events of the tumultuous year, comparing 2021 to 1992, which the Queen famously described as Xanus Horribilis.

In 1992, a series of unpleasant events rocked the Royal Family, including the separations of and Diana, and and Sarah, as well as the Windsor Castle fire.
