Queen Elizabeth II Celebrated on International Women’s Day 2022
Prince William and Catherine, along with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on International Women's Day 2022.
The couple shared a series of touching images from the Queen's reign on their Instagram accounts, celebrating Her Majesty and her historic 70 years of service in her Platinum Jubilee year.
They thanked her for inspiring a nation and addressed the Queen as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and head of state.
The message included a series of eight images from different decades of her reign, including one of the Queen and Prince Philip surrounded by their great-grandchildren.
The family photograph, taken at Balmoral Castle in 2018 by Catherine, shows the Queen and Prince Philip sitting alongside seven of their great-grandchildren, with the relaxed monarch holding a then baby Prince Louis in her arms.
Another image sees the Queen in one of her happiest places, visiting the Chelsea Flower Show alongside Catherine and William in May 2019.

The Queen wore a stylish Urdum coat in lime green for her annual visit to the Royal Horticultural Society's London show.
There's also a photo of Her Majesty greeting well-wishers during her Silver Jubilee in 1997 and one taken earlier this year at Windsor Castle to mark the beginning of the Platinum Jubilee year.
While Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince William, and Catherine all feature in the social media montage, the image that will resonate for many is the photo of the Queen and the late Prince Philip as doting and proud great-grandparents.
Royal fans rushed to the comments section of the heartfelt post to pay their respects to the monarch.
One person wrote, “Thank you Queen Elizabeth for your dedication and service,” while someone else said, “What an amazing woman!
Happy International Women's Day to you, dear Queen.”
