Royal Shock: Queen Elizabeth II Surprised By Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Modern Lifestyle

II, at 92 years old, was taken aback by the modern lifestyle of and during her first visit to their country home in Anmer Hall, Norfolk.

Despite having a good relationship with the couple, the Queen was surprised by a crucial difference in their lifestyles.

According to an exclusive report by Express UK, the Queen couldn't wrap her head around the amount of time that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spend socializing in their kitchen with the rest of their young family.

A source revealed that the kitchen is the main base for them, which was a foreign concept for the Queen as she is used to having a set room for that sort of thing.

The kitchen is not a place where she spends time when she's at Balmoral, for instance.

In her mind, that is where all the kitchen staff work.

This misunderstanding highlights how different life is for Kate and William compared to the Queen.

The couple is known to have their kitchen as the main hub of their home, which leads into their dining room.

This setup shows that they are very modern, unlike the traditional setup of the past.

It is said to be a similar set-up at Apartment 1A, the pair's Kensington Palace home.

The difference in lifestyle between the Queen and the younger generation of her family doesn't stop there.

It is believed that Kate and William have far fewer staff compared to the British monarch.

“Of course, they have their help, the nanny and the housekeeper,” said the source.

However, they don't have the same level of staff as or the Queen.

There are no footmen or butlers working in their home, he said.
