The child would most certainly be a dual citizen of the United States and the United Kingdom.
While being born in the United States, where the royal couple is actually residing, the upcoming royal baby would most certainly hold dual citizenship, since her parents come from different countries.
The second child of the Sussexes will be a “natural born” American citizen.
Archie, the couple's first child, was conceived in the United Kingdom on May 6, 2019, and holds dual citizenship. After their second royal baby, Harry and Markle seem to be planning on having no more children.
“Done,” Prince Harry said in answer to a query from Oprah on whether the pair are “done.”
Markle confirmed, “Two is it.”
Diana is the most probable name for the girl.
Many people have speculated that if Harry had had a daughter, he might honor his mother.
Ashley Pearson, a royal observer and celebrity columnist, informed the 2020 Amazon Prime documentary that the couple's next child will “possibly” be named Diana.
However, royal sources claim that this is “unlikely” to happen because of the negative publicity that might accompany such a move.
Line of succession
The birth of Prince Harry's second child will undoubtedly shake up the line of succession to the throne, since he is the son of the future king, Prince Charles.
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor became seventh in line when he was born on May 6, 2019, and the royal girl will be eighth in line to the British throne.
The kid would drive Prince Andrew to ninth position in line to the throne, Princess Beatrice to tenth, and Princess Eugenie to eleventh.
What is the due date for Meghan and Harry's second child?
Meghan hasn't said how far along she is with her pregnancy, although the baby is expected to arrive in the spring or summer of 2021.
The date they confirmed the pregnancy – February 14 – is notable since it is the 37th anniversary of Harry's parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, announcing their second pregnancy.
The Duchess and Harry announced they were expecting their first child in October 2018, seven months before Archie was born.
Meghan will give birth in September if they adopt this trend with baby number two.
Prince Harry's birthday is September 15, so it's possible that father and baby will share the birthday.
Having recently experienced a miscarriage after relocating to the United States, it's doubtful that the royals would have announced the pregnancy as early as two months this time.
Meghan does have indications of a baby bump in the shared photo, suggesting that the next royal baby may come as early as May.
