Prince Harry ‘barely acknowledged’ by Royal family members at funeral, ‘Little sympathy’ for Duke

Several members of Prince Harry's family, including Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie Wessex, hardly acknowledged him at Prince Philip's funeral.

After his dramatic interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke of Sussex, 36, was officially reunited with the Royal Family for the first time since his explosive interview aired wordwide. Tensions are believed to be running high in the wake of the chat.

According to the Daily Mail, since returning to England, Harry has experienced “a great deal of frostiness” from the extended royal family.

“There is a deep sense of protection towards the Queen and resentment towards Harry. There is little sympathy for him after what he and Meghan said on Oprah .

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex told Oprah Winfrey why they stood down as senior royals, publicly detailing Meghan's alleged experiences with bullying, mental health issues, and racism. Harry also discussed his tense relationship with Princes Charles and William.

“They [the royals] are still very upset. They are putting on a united front for the Queen. They all think he has behaved appallingly .”

“Ironically the only one who has expressed any sympathy towards him is Prince Andrew,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“He knows from Sarah Ferguson – and now first-hand – how it feels to be the outsider, which Harry very much is.

It is said that Prince William asked Peter Phillips to stand between him and his brother Harry during the funeral procession.

Due to Covid's social distancing rules, the brothers were separated by 12 feet.

Harry and Meghan, 39, said an unidentified senior member of the Royal Family questioned what color their son Archie's skin would be before his birth during the dramatic interview, which was watched and discussed around the world.

Meghan wouldn't reveal who had the conversations because it would be “very damaging to them,” but she did say it happened many times.

Prince Harry returned to the UK last week to attend the funeral of Prince Philip, who devoted his life to staying by the Queen's side.

However, Meghan, Harry's wife, was unable to attend due to doctors' advice that she not fly due to her pregnancy.
