Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly planning to move their family from London’s Kensington Palace to Berkshire, causing quite a stir among members of their London circle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge currently split their time between their official London home and their weekend retreat in Norfolk, but are said to be ready to make the move to Windsor as living in suburbia makes total sense for them.

The royal couple is interested in the Fort Belvedere residence, which was built between 1750 and 1755 for Prince William Augustus and is located in Windsor Great Park.

The home, which was built in the Gothic Revival architectural style, was fondly referred to as “the Fort” by many members of the royal family.

It was hugely expanded by George IV who added an octagonal dining room, a three-storey annex, and a large flagpole.

In 1929, it became the home of Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, who later became Edward VIII, and it is where he signed his abdication papers in 1936.

While their London circle is aghast at the move, sources say that people can be very snotty about that area west of London, but that mainly comes out of ignorance.

The area is picturesque and also meaningfully close to town, unlike other parts of the home counties.

Last year, it was reported that William and Kate were seriously considering relocating to Windsor to be closer to the Queen and royal decision-making.

In other news, a new documentary claims that Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, trained Meghan Markle about the unspoken rules she would be facing as a new member of the royal family.

Dish, Kate had been ecstatic to welcome Meghan into the royal folds so as to be able to share the public sphere.

Apparently, Kate also schooled Meghan in some of those English conventions which you may not think about as an arriving American.

Etiquette consultant William Hanson said at the time of the wedding that Meghan won't have a specific tutor, but the royal household and other members of the royal family who have married in will be passing on their knowledge to the newest edition.

As the most recent person to marry into the royal family, the Duchess of Cambridge will be of the most use to Meghan, mainly focusing on wardrobe pitfalls and traps and perhaps also conversational techniques too.

It is believed that Kate was tipped to be the main member of the royal family helping Meghan learn about the Queen's etiquette before her wedding to Prince Harry as she too joined as an outsider.

Meghan will also be observing others, watching and copying certain mannerisms or tricks that they do to cope and successfully navigate the pitfalls of court life.

Her fiancé will, of course, also be sharing his considerable knowledge too.

In conclusion, it seems that Prince William and Kate Middleton are ready to cut all ties with London and move their family to Windsor, while also helping new members of the royal family adjust to their new roles.
