Duchess of Cambridge to Inherit Late Princess Diana’s Royal Title
Prince William is set to experience a bittersweet moment when his wife, Catherine, HRH the Duchess of Cambridge receives a certain royal title.
The Duchess of Cambridge is set to take over a particularly difficult royal title when Prince Charles ascends to the throne, one belonging to her husband, Prince William's, late mother.
Although the Duchess of Cornwall could technically use the title, she decided not to take it up out of respect and the strong public emotions it inspires.
Prince Charles has to bestow his eldest son with the title of Prince of Wales when he becomes king.
A source told, it's hard to see it not happening.
However, they continued to address that the moment will be tinged with sorrow.

The source continued, “I'm sure it'll be a bit of a bittersweet moment.
This is her, Diana's, son and his wife, so in some ways it will be coming full circle, but it will also be a poignant reminder of what we all lost.”
Catherine herself has been compared to Diana over the years, but holds a reverence for the mother-in-law she never met through her fashion and jewellery.
Catherine's first few years as the Duchess of Cambridge were intimidating.
She was absolutely daunted by it and it was overwhelming at times, a friend told a magazine in January 2022.
Everyone wanted her to be the next Diana.
People had this Diana hole they wanted to put her into, they said.
There was constant campaigning and issues going to be?
Catherine's husband, Prince William, dealt with it by not rushing.
The Duke of Cambridge made sure she had time and space to acclimatise to public life and not feel pressured.
Body language expert Darren Stanton discussed what Catherine has in common with Diana in a January 2022 interview.
He said there are actually a lot of similarities between Catherine and Princess Diana.
Catherine's shown a willingness to interact with everyday people when attending public events, he said.
Not to mention no other royal has interacted with the public as much as William and Catherine since Diana.
Additionally, Catherine also displays the same level of true empathy and sympathy as Diana did.
She's not afraid to display her emotions.
Whether it be when she's meeting with children, visiting those in hospital, or connecting with members of the public around the world, he added.
She is happy to be in emotional support to others and it's clear she truly cares.
The similarities between Catherine and Diana don't stop with the Duchess of Cambridge's approachability.
Stanton shared yet another way Catherine's like her mother-in-law.
The one thing about Catherine Middleton that noticeably hasn't changed over the years is that she is a very genuine person, he said.
Other public figures, like celebrities and even other royal family members, can tend to show a fake smile or disingenuous displays of emotion at certain events.
Continuing, Stanton said Catherine is very much an open book, never without a very open and honest smile denoted by visible crow's feet around her eyes.
Her whole face is engaged when smiling, he added.
It's clear she has developed a massive confidence not only as a royal and a public figure but as a parent too.
Besides, Celiot Nes, a co-author of Royal Fever, claims the Duchess of Cambridge is a crucial and admired member of the monarchy.
She added this is primarily due to her ability to relate to a younger demographic and one that puts the business of raising her family and remaining healthily connected to her family of origin, her parents and siblings.
