Prince William and Kate Middleton to Assist with Platinum Jubilee Concert Preparations in Wales

and are set to travel to Wales on June 4th to assist with last-minute preparations for a Platinum Jubilee concert at Cardiff Castle in honor of the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty's reign.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed the news, which happens to coincide with the first birthday of and 's daughter, Diana.

According to royal sources, will be celebrating her special occasion with her parents and older brother Archie at Frogmore Cottage.

The Queen is also expected to meet Lilibet on Saturday, following news that she would no longer be attending the Epsom Derby due to mobility issues.

It remains unclear whether William and Kate will make it back in time for the Sussex party.

The venue is located 130 miles away from Cardiff, making it unlikely for the couple to attend both events.

During their trip to Wales, the royal couple will meet with performers and crew members of the concert, including hosts Allah Jones, Shan Katie, and Bonnie Tyler.

They'll also receive a rundown on the technical production underpinning the show, including its lighting, sound, and visual effects.

The concert's musical performances are expected to wrap up by 7 pm, at which point the BBC's Platinum Party at the Palace will be broadcast on oversized screens at the castle.

, who wowed royal fans with her piano performance at a Christmas carol service last year, is likely to take an interest in the musical performances.

However, the Cambridges are not the only senior royals with travel plans over the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex will fly over to Northern Ireland this weekend for Jubilee-themed arts and crafts and a meet-and-greet with kids involved in multicultural street performances.

Meanwhile, Princess Anne will head to Scotland to visit Edinburgh Zoo and the HMS Albion.

In other news, and 's daughter, Lilibet, is turning one next week, just as 's Platinum Jubilee celebrations roll out.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to fly over to the UK for the Queen's Jubilee just in time for Lilibet's birthday.

As per sources, a first birthday bash is being planned for Lilibet at Prince Harry and Meghan's UK residence, Frogmore Cottage, where they will be staying during their visit.

The Queen had originally planned to attend the Epsom Derby this weekend, but with her first meeting with Lilibet on the horizon, she will skip the event, with Princess Anne stepping in for her instead.

Lilibet, named after the Queen's nickname given to her by the late Prince Philip, has yet to meet her royal relatives.

She was born in the US and hasn't had a chance to visit the UK with her parents.

In contrast, her older brother, Archie, was born in the UK and met the Queen just two days later.

The upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations mark a significant milestone for the Queen, who has reigned for 70 years.
