Meghan’s father cried as he watched Prince Charles walk her down aisle: Was jealous
Meghan Markle's father claims he cried whilst viewing her royal wedding on TV because he was “jealous” of Prince Charles walking her down the aisle.
Since surgery stopped him from moving to the UK to be at his daughter's side, the Duchess' father observed the monumental day on TV from a safe house.
In a Channel 5 documentary titled Thomas Markle: My Story, the 75-year-old revealed that he witnessed Meg's wedding from a safe house while recovering from a heart attack.
“My daughter looked beautiful.” He said in a UK documentary that aired Wednesday night, “I wish I could have been there with her.”
Markle was “appreciative” that his daughter had Prince Charles there to walk her down the aisle, but he was still “torn up” because it reminded him that he should have been there.
Thomas continued, “I was jealous of him, I really wanted to do that. I'll admit that I cried a little about that. I'll confess that it made me cry a bit.

However, he even chastised the pair for failing to check on him during his treatment.
He said: “To them I don't exist.
“Harry is part of my family – we should be talking.

“If I didn't treat the heart attack, I wouldn't be here now,” he said in the 90-minute documentary.
“I never got cards, I never got flowers, I never got a phone call to see how I was doing.”
‘if you had listened to me, this wouldn't have happened to you,' Harry said to me.

He added, “They couldn't have done anything worse to harm the Queen — probably the most loved and respected woman in the world.”
He also admits to lying to Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain when he said the pair had been checking in to better their image.
In the run-up to their high-profile wedding, the twice-married retiree critizised the pair for failing to support him.
He said: “Meghan and Harry said ‘we'll protect you from this'.
“But their protection was to tell me ‘don't talk to anyone'.
