The nasty nicknames Princess Diana and Camilla gave each other
Princess Diana and Camilla Parker's unflattering nicknames for Camilla each other
The union of Prince Charles and Princess Diana is one of the most well-known in literature. Their turbulent partnership was rife by controversies and affairs that were publicly known.
During her explosive Panorama interview in 1995, Diana revealed that she knew about her husband's affair with his former flame, Camilla Parker Bowles, as she said, “Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a little crowded.” And after Diana discovered their relationship, Charles and Camilla continued to have an affair for many years, earning Camilla a scathing nickname.
Camilla's unpleasant nickname from the princess
The two continued their romance, so Diana offered Camilla a nickname, which she disclosed to her friend Simone Simmons. Diana referred to Camilla as “the Rottweiler,” according to Simmons' book Diana: The Last Word.
Diana gave her the name “because she looks like a dog — and because once she has got her teeth into someone she won't let go,” according to the text.

Camilla's nickname for Diana?
But Diana wasn't the only one that named others, according to sources. According to royal author Tom Bower, the now-Duchess of Cornwall had a derogatory nickname for the Princess of Wales as well. After the Panorama interview, Camilla alluded to Diana as a “mad cow,” according to Bower.
The notorious 1995 Panorama interview prompted Camilla, now 71, to call Diana a “mad cow,” according to author Tom Bower's explosive 2018 book “Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion, and Defiance of Prince Charles.”
Mr Bower went on to say that Camilla assured friends that the People's Princess had “no right to lament about her liaison with Charles, because she had been ‘making her way through the lifeguards'.”
“She [Diana] confronted Charles about the affair but never got a proper answer,” Ms Simmons explains.
“He didn't refute or lie about being with Camilla.
“Instead, he went speechless and declined to answer her query.
“It was such a juvenile reaction to the case.
In 1996, a year before Diana's horrific demise, Charles and Diana split. Prince Charles married Camilla in 2005.
