Gayle King Fails to Meet COVID-19 Policy, Misses Oprah Winfrey’s Party

Oprah Winfrey, the billionaire media mogul, recently threw a lavish party to celebrate the birth of Gayle King's new grandson Luca.

However, Gayle King, who is said to be friends with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, was unable to attend the celebration after allegedly failing to complete a four-step COVID-19 policy for guests.

Winfrey, known for her strict coronavirus checklist, demanded that every visitor pass her policy as cases continue to soar across the United States.

The rule applied to all guests, including King, who was called out by her best pal Oprah Winfrey.

Unfortunately, Meghan and Harry did not even receive an invitation.

Taking to social media, just two days before the big bash, Oprah confirmed that all of her guests were required to be vaccinated, boosted, tested, and quarantined before they could visit her home in Santa Barbara, California.

In view of her 20.3 million followers, Oprah shared a video of her guests arriving at her home and stated that “Everyone who is spending Christmas at my house has to be vaccinated, boosted, tested, and quarantined.”

The 67-year-old hosted a welcoming party for Gayle's new grandson Luca on December 23.

However, King was unable to attend the celebration as she failed to meet Winfrey's strict COVID-19 policy.

In her post, Oprah wrote, “We missed his grandma at Gayleking but she'll join us once she completes the policy.”

In recent news, Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle have allegedly ended their friendship.

It is claimed that Winfrey realized soon after she interviewed Prince Harry and Markle that the couple wasn't being entirely honest about their accounts.

Earlier this year, Markle claimed that Kate Middleton made her cry, and she and Prince Harry accused the royal family of not listening to their complaints and mental health struggles.

Markle also alleged that she thought of committing suicide because of how the British press targeted her.

Now, a source claimed that Winfrey couldn't be more disappointed with Prince Harry and Markle.

The longtime host is even more upset with the couple because they tarnished her reputation.

As soon as those headlines started coming out, and Oprah learned that they'd either exaggerate or downright lied to her, she was furious.

This put a severe dent on Oprah's reputation as one of America's most skilled interviewers, and even now, eight months later, it hasn't quite recovered.

The insider also claimed that Prince Harry and Markle's former supporters have started to realize that the couple doesn't practice what they are preaching.

As such, they have started to turn on the Sussexes.

Fans of Winfrey couldn't be more thrilled that she finally realized that Prince Harry and Markle shouldn't be her friends.

And she has started to distance herself from the couple.

According to the source, Winfrey's revelation during a recent interview that she only has a handful of friends was a telling sign that she didn't consider the Sussexes as her pals.

Previously, hundreds of A-listers have flocked to Barack Obama's star-studded 60th birthday extravaganza, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were nowhere to be seen in former U.S. President's party.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who enjoy a long-standing and close relationship with the former president, were not invited to celebrate with the Obamas.
