Oprah Winfrey: Only Three Close Pals

Oprah Winfrey has revealed that she only has three close friends, and Meghan Markle is not one of them.

Until recently, Winfrey's close circle of friends consisted of Maria Shriver, Gayle King, and Bob Green.

Winfrey prefers to keep her circle small, admitting that she doesn't have many close friendships outside of Shriver.

“Everybody knows Gayle King.

There's Gayle, there's Maria, there's Bob Green.

And that's about it, you know?”

the former talk show host said.

“Gayle and Maria, I met around the same time.

Gayle and I have been friends for 42 years.

Maria and I have also been friends for 42 years.

I never really expanded that circle until recently.

You know, I had become friends with a couple of people in my later adult life in the past five years.”

It's no secret that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left the royal family to live in the United States, and they needed many connections to get established and situated in Hollywood.

Rumors circulated that Oprah Winfrey was helping them find a place to live, basically being Meghan and Harry's guardian angel.

Their reps deny that she arranged for them to stay in Tyler Perry's estate in Los Angeles, but that's actually a lie.

Gail King, Winfrey's close friend, told Entertainment Tonight that Oprah didn't hook that up.

“Harry and Meghan know people.

Tyler knows people.

Oprah knows people, but she did not make that connection for Harry and Meghan to live in Tyler's house,” King said.

It's funny to think that Meghan had connections in Hollywood before becoming a royal.

A Z-list actress like Meghan didn't have any connections in Hollywood, and all those connections were solely made after she became a royal, which allowed her to become well-known.

When Oprah was invited to the royal wedding, she was the first one to arrive, and everyone was confused as to why she was there.

She had no previous ties to either the royal family or the Markle entourage.

It's becoming apparent that the royal family is much more powerful than Meghan and Harry thought.

After all, a Disney representative called Meghan controversial and said they have no further dealings with her despite her wishes.

Oprah Winfrey might be a big phony, but she's no idiot.

There's no way she's going to do anything else to link her name to the Harkles.

She did a hit and run with that interview, made her money, and split.
