Thomas Markle Asks Oprah Winfrey for Interview

Thomas Markle, the estranged father of , has reportedly hand-delivered a letter to 's home in Montecito, California.

The 76-year-old lighting director is said to have given the note to a member of security, calling on the chat show host to interview him.

This comes a month after his daughter's sit-down with Oprah.

According to The Sun, a source revealed that the letter was not meant for Meghan and Harry, but for Oprah.

Thomas watched the interview Oprah did with the couple and feels he deserves a chance to tell his side of the story.

He has offered to share his version of events, a move that could potentially cause more controversy.

It is worth noting that Thomas has not spoken to his daughter in three years and was not invited to her wedding.

During Meghan's interview with Oprah, she expressed how hurt she was when she found out that her father had been working with the press.

She referred to it as a “betrayal.”

Following the bombshell interview, Thomas appeared on Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

He expressed his desire to reconcile with his daughter and grandchild.

From his home in Rosarito, Mexico, a shaky Thomas admitted that he had lied to Meghan about working with the press back in 2018.

This was something Meghan had confirmed during her Oprah tell-all.

In visiting Oprah's estate, Thomas would have traveled very close to and Meghan's property, which is a mile down the road.

However, given the bad blood said to exist between him and his daughter, it is unlikely that he dropped by to see them.

The source who spoke to The Sun stated that Thomas delivered a letter to Oprah asking her to contact him so he could tell his side of the story.

It remains to be seen whether Oprah will take him up on his offer.

It is clear that there is still tension between Thomas and Meghan, despite his attempts to reconcile.
