Prince William and Princess Catherine were late for King Charles’ coronation, leaving the new monarch and Queen Camilla waiting for almost eight minutes outside Westminster Abbey.

The royal couple was supposed to be seated before the king and queen entered the Abbey, as per the order of the service issued by Buckingham Palace.

However, they arrived after the King and Queen, sparking reactions from the royal fans.

Many fans were outraged and started criticising the couple.

But royal expert Omid Scobie cleared all the confusion and revealed that the real reason behind their tardiness was their children, and .

According to Scobie, the room for error was nil, and thankfully, due to the weeks of rehearsals that the royals took part in ahead of the coronation, the day went ahead smoothly.

It's understandable that juggling young children and royal duties is a difficult task, especially when it comes to events as important as a coronation.

Despite the backlash, we should remember that the royal family is just like any other family.

The royal family has always been known for being a family-orientated institution.

They may be royal, but they're still human, and they have to deal with the same issues like any other family would.

The only difference is that their private life is constantly under the public eye.
